About EMU Health

Modern outpatient care, built around the patient.

Founded in 2016 by Daniel J. Lowy, EMU Health was built around a simple but powerful belief: patients deserve to be treated like people, not numbers.

Located in Glendale, Queens, EMU Health brings together a wide range of medical specialties, physician offices, diagnostic services, and outpatient surgical care under one roof. As a dual-licensed Article 28 Diagnostic & Treatment Center and AAAHC-accredited Ambulatory Surgical Center, EMU Health is designed to support patients through every stage of care — from consultation and diagnosis to treatment and follow-up.

Coordinated Care

Care that works together.

EMU Health’s multi-specialty model allows patients to receive more connected care without needing to travel between disconnected offices. A growing team of board-certified specialists works together to make communication easier, care more efficient, and treatment plans more personalized.

Our services include primary care, orthopedic surgery, pain management, gynecology, general surgery, urology, vascular surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, breast surgery, sports medicine, podiatry, rheumatology, physical therapy, women’s health, interventional radiology, and more.

EMU Health is also home to a modern Ambulatory Surgical Center with five advanced operating rooms and a highly trained clinical team. The surgical center was created to provide hospital-grade care in a more convenient outpatient setting, with a focus on safety, comfort, efficiency, and individualized attention.

Dental Care

Pediatric dental care under general anesthesia.

EMU Health provides pediatric dental care under general anesthesia in a safe, controlled, and specialized setting. For families whose children have complex dental needs, anxiety, special healthcare considerations, or difficulty receiving treatment in a regular dental office, access to timely care can make a meaningful difference.

In addition to the Queens facility, EMU Health also offers pediatric dental care under general anesthesia in Rockland County, helping more families access this important service in a setting designed around safety, efficiency, and patient comfort.

Chief Executive Officer

Daniel J. Lowy

Daniel J. Lowy is an accomplished entrepreneur, healthcare executive, and finance professional who founded EMU Health in 2016 with a vision to make high-quality healthcare more accessible, efficient, and patient-centered. He holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School and a Master’s in Commerce from the University of New South Wales, combining a strong financial background with a deep commitment to healthcare and community service.

Under Daniel’s leadership, EMU Health has grown into a premier multi-specialty healthcare organization, bringing a Diagnostic and Treatment Center and AAAHC-accredited Ambulatory Surgical Center together under one roof in Queens. EMU provides comprehensive medical, specialty, diagnostic, and surgical services supported by highly qualified physicians and a commitment to clinical excellence, individualized care, and accessibility.

A particularly important part of Daniel’s vision is EMU Health’s pediatric and special-needs dental program, which provides dental care under general anesthesia. Recognizing the significant challenges and extended hospital wait times faced by these patients, Daniel identified an important gap in care and developed a specialized program designed to provide families with greater access to timely, high-quality treatment in a safe and state-regulated environment.

EMU Health has expanded beyond Queens with a second location in Pearl River, Rockland County, representing the next step in Daniel’s vision to bring EMU’s integrated healthcare model to communities throughout New York. With continued expansion planned, Daniel remains focused on building strong physician partnerships, advancing innovative healthcare solutions, and maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Beyond EMU Health, Daniel is deeply committed to education, healthcare, and community service. He serves in leadership and board roles with organizations including the Orthodox Union, Teach NYS, Manhattan Day School, and West Side Institutional Synagogue. His philosophy is simple: patients should be treated as people, not numbers. Through EMU Health, Daniel continues to build a forward-thinking healthcare organization focused on quality, accessibility, compassion, and meaningful community impact.
